Filming the Zambezi Airlines DVD

I thought I’d share some more photos from Zambia, taken while filming the Zambezi Airlines B737-500 DVD.

At the time I was on location filming, Zambezi Airlines only had 2 Boeing 737-500’s. The third aircraft was due only a week later.

I was lucky enough to fly on both aircraft and film for the DVD. 9J-ZJA and 9J-ZJB, both seen in the photo above.

Maximo Mapulanga, the Captain in the photo above was great to fly with. Friendly and eager to help and make it a good DVD.

One day we left the city of Lusaka to head out into the bush for some wildlife. There was a special reason for it.

It was the rainy season during my visit so the dirt roads were a bit….tough to travel on… But we managed, and the next day the weather improved nicely. Perfect for the filming…

There it was, calmly eating from the treetops. When you watch the DVD you will see Don MacDonald explain the symbol and the colours of the giraffe vs Zambezi Airlines.
Of course, I wanted the Giraffe in the DVD, you can see it in the Safari clip from Zambia on the DVD. A Zambezi Airlines DVD would not be complete without it.

I love watching the engines and the wings as I fly… It’s so nice…

And finally a shot of me. Yes, it’s me. And there is a reason why I post it here…. You will soon understand why… 😉

The Zambezi Airlines B737-500 DVD turned out to be a very nice,
3.5 hour long DVD. It shows the operations in the part of the world with some seasonal weather and nice destinations. Order your copy here.
